My name is Brett Hood and I am a metal artist and fabricator from Los Angeles California. My brand Bhoodfab was established in 2022 when I decided to create and build the “hubless penny farthing bike” shown above. The main objective when building the bike was to bring the past and the future together. The giant 48” wheel was inspired by the original penny farthing bike from 1871. The hubless designed was an added touch of modern for a futuristic feel. The entire bike was hand rolled and welding by me with the exception of the rear sprocket, that was laser cut by a local company. There were no blueprints, no drawings just pure imagination until it evolved into a complete bike. I truly believe that you can do anything you put your mind to and I choose to build without limitations or boundaries.
